Crocodile Tears are Real?

The answer is YES!

Crocodile Tears are tears and excessive saliva produced while a person eats.  When there is a paralysis of the 7th cranial nerve (facial) it may be experienced.  The salivary gland nerve fibers regenerate abnormally and grow into the lacrimal gland.  It is considered a “functional defect.”  It is commonly experienced in people who have Bell’s Palsy.
